A Salty Dog is a Gin (or Vodka) based drink that gets it's name because it's served in a glass with a salty rim. Anyone who likes grapefruit juice is sure to like this popular cocktail. Served on the rocks with a slice of lime, this is the perfect cocktail for a hot summer day.
How to make a Salty Dog Cocktail
| Start by filling a tall glass with ice. Add 2 oz of Gin or Vodka, according to your own personal preference. Fill the rest of the glass with Grapefruit Juice. Prepare a high ball glass by rubbing the rim with a Lime and then dipping the rim in kosher Salt. Pour your cocktail concoction into the salted glass, garnish with a slice of Lime, and serve.
