A Rob Roy is similar to a Manhattan, but is made with Scotch whiskey instead of rye whiskey in honor of Scottish folk hero, Robert Roy MacGregor. Traditionally served with Angostura bitters, although often served without, this is a classic cocktail that no bartender should be without.

How to make a Rob Roy Cocktail

Start with a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Add 2 oz of Scotch Whiskey and 1/2 oz of Sweet Vermouth.
  • To make this drink "dry," either substitute Dry Vermouth for Sweet Vermouth or use less Sweet Vermouth.
  • To make this drink "perfect," use equal parts of Dry Vermouth and Sweet Vermouth.
  • To make this drink "sweet," add a little more Sweet Vermouth.
Stir and strain into a chilled glass and garnish with a single Cherry.

Enjoy responsibly with friends!
