Rob Roy

A Rob Roy is similar to a Manhattan, but is made with Scotch whiskey instead of rye whiskey in honor of Scottish folk hero, Robert Roy MacGregor. Traditionally served with Angostura bitters, although often served without, this is a classic cocktail that no bartender should be without.

Fabulous Cocktail Recipe

Start with a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Add 2 oz of Scotch Whiskey and 1/2 oz of Sweet Vermouth.

To make this drink "dry," either substitute Dry Vermouth for Sweet Vermouth or use less Sweet Vermouth.
To make this drink "perfect," use equal parts of Dry Vermouth and Sweet Vermouth.
To make this drink "sweet," add a little more Sweet Vermouth.

Stir and strain into a chilled glass and garnish with a single Cherry.
