There are about as many stories about the origin of the name 'Micheladas' as there are variations to the recipe. While everyone can agree that the main ingredient is beer, things can get a little bit fuzzy after that. In my experience, this fabulous mixed drink is served with a salted rim and mixed with a bit of lime juice. When it comes to spices, you can feel free to get a bit creative. Use the recipe below as a starting point and feel free to adapt it to your personal taste. Enjoy!
How to make a Micheladas Cocktail
Prepare a highball glass with a salted rim and add 1 oz of Tequila, 2-10 dashes of Tabasco Sauce, fresh Lime Juice from 1/2 a Lime, a dash of Soy Sauce, a dash of Worcestershire Sauce and a pinch of Salt and Pepper. Stir and then fill the remainder of the glass with Beer. Enjoy responsibly with friends! |
