Gibson Cocktail

A Gibson cocktail is your basic gin martini and perfect for your next swanky dinner party. Although no one can be exactly sure about how this drink got it's name, it's likely named for Charles Dana Gibson, the illustrator who created the "Gibson Girl" that defined the feminine ideal at the turn of the century.
If you want to make this drink "dry," add a little less Vermouth and if you want it "extra dry," add even less Vermouth if any at all. Check out our whole collection of cocktails from classic to creative and get mixing!
How to make a Gibson Cocktail
| Start with a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Add 2 1/2 oz of Gin and 1/2 oz of Dry Vermouth (see the notes above about preparing dry and extra dry versions of this drink). Stir and pour the drink with the ice into a old fashioned glass. Garnish with Cocktail Onions and serve.
