Carmel Apple ShotIt's getting cooler which means it's the perfect season for a Carmel Apple Shot. One of my favorite memories as a child was making carmel covered apples. Every fall we'd get a big bag of juicy apples and a couple of bags of Kraft carmels. After unrapping all of the carmels (and eating a few on the side) we'd melt them down and then dip the apples. We'd cover half of the apples with peanuts and we'd leave the other half plain.

This little shot brings those flavors together once again for your drinking enjoyment. When I tried this recipe, I used Sour Apple Schnapps and I think that if I'd tried it again I would try something that is a little more sweet than sour as the two flavors tend to compete a little bit. Overall, I would rate it as pretty tastey and perfect for a fall themed party.

How to make a Carmel Apple Shot Cocktail

Start with a cocktail shaker and fill it half way with ice. Add 1 oz of Apple Liqueur (sweet or sour depending on your preference) and 1 oz of Butterscotch Schnapps. Shake it up and strain it into a shot glass.

Enjoy responsibly with friends!
