A Black and Tan is a pretty straight forward cocktail with a straight forward name. It's made completely using Irish Ale, but one floating over the other. Start with Harp Ale and then float Guienness on top with the help of a bar spoon. Some say that you can substitute Bass Ale for Harp, but Bass is English - I guess it depends on how Irish you really are!

How to make a Black and Tan Cocktail

Start with a pint glass and fill it half way up with Harp Ale. Then, using a the back of a bar spoon, slowly pour the Guinness so that it floats on top, giving this drink it's distinctive "black and tan" look.

Enjoy responsibly with friends!
