Alabama Slammer Recipe

The Alabama Slammer recipe has a variety of different ways that it can be made, but the common ingredient in all of these cocktail recipes is Southern Comfort whiskey. This combined with orange juice and a few other flavors makes a tasty treat, either fresh or frozen, that's perfect for your next summer BBQ.
How to make an Alabama Slammer Cocktail
The Original Recipe
| Start with a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Add 3/4 oz of Vodka, 3/4 oz of Southern Comfort, and 3/4 oz of Amaretto. Add a Dash of Sloe Gin or Grenadine. Top off your drink with Orange Juice and shake it up. Pour the drink, ice and all, into a highball glass. Add a finishing touch by garnishing with a slice of Orange.

With Galliano
| Start by filling a cocktail shaker with ice. Add 1/2 oz of Southern Comfort, 1/2 oz of Triple Sec, 1/2 oz of Galliano, and 1/2 oz of Sloe Gin. Fill the rest of the glass with Orange Juice and shake it up. Pour the drink, ice and all, into a highball glass. Garnish with a slice of Orange for a finishing touch.

Frozen
| Grab your blender and add 1/2 cup of ice. Add 1 oz of Vodka and 1 oz of Southern Comfort. Add a dash of Sloe Gin or Grenadine depending on your preference. Add a scoop of Orange Sherbet and blend your drink until smooth. You can add either a touch of Orange Juice to thin or a bit more Sherbet to thicken your drink. Pour into serving glasses and garnish with a slice of Orange.
